Tip of the Week
This week we center on the tool for North/Earth.
Earth Bowl ~
This would be a small bowl of earth/soil usually used as an offering to the god/dess.
Pentacle ~
This is a disk or platter. The traditional pentacle in magick has a pentagram (A circle encompassing an upright five-pointed star) representing man on top. This also emphasizes the well known magickal quote, "As Above, So Below."
Drum ~
The drum also represents earth as the shaman`s symbol of the world, often decorated or created to illustrate the experiences, perceptions, etc...of the owner. The drum is an excellent tool to help induce trance, both by sustained playing and also by using tapes of drum music as a background to meditative or ecstatic states.
Also, one of the most exciting things to do is to make your own tools, it`s less expensive and makes it more personal to you.
