Q. i want to help a freind with her love problems and emotional scars. i have a list of herbs but, how do i make a charm with them?

A. Merry Meet,

Making a charm bag is simple -- it sounds like you have already done the hard part by determining which herbs, gemstones, etc. have the magickal correspondences associated with what you wish to accomplish.

Assemble the ingredients and place them together in a small bag. You may wish to use color magick to add a little extra power (e.g., in this case perhaps use a pink bag for love and emotional & spiritual healing). As you fill the bag, focus your thoughts on the intention behind the bag. After it is full, cleanse the charm by circling your hand counterclockwise over the bag three times while stating that you wish to remove all impurities and negativity from it. Then charge the bag by moving your hand in clockwise circles over the bag 3 times while stating what you wish to accomplish.

That's all there is to it! Be sure that your friend knows and approves of what you are trying to do -- it may actually be more effective if she does the cleansing & charging (either with you or on her own).
