While many of the authors of pagan material are educated and knowledgeble there are a few who pray on the readers to except "anything" as fact.
Before shelling out good money I would suggest doing some research on the author, book, or magazine. The easiest way to do this is on the internet, through websites, newsgroups,and online bookstores, many of which have whole sections on book reviews.
