Finding Your Familiar
Finding a familiar is important - in spite of what Hollywood tells us, a familiar is not a personal slave that runs our errands in animal form. A "familiar" is an animal in which we find a kindred spirit, a spirit we have gotten to know as a friend, one that is familiar to us, hence the name. If you have a special attraction to a particular animal, maybe a pet, or an animal whose strength or qualities you admire, such as an eagle or bear, itīs a good bet that this is your familiar animal, and you should take the time to know it better so that you can learn from it.

i found mine when the family dog (white shephard) took a great interest in what i was doing now 3 years later if i'm casting or just meditating,chanting he's right there at all times paying close attention but never interfering it's kind cool , he's someone to share everything with

Me and my cat Tiggs had a close spiritual bond and our emotions were said to mirror each other. When i was down she would cuddle against my chest, ears back and tail dropped. When i slept so would curl up around my neck and protect me. Unfortunately she was cruelly torn away from me when she was killed by a car, i feel like something is missing now. R.I.P Tiggs x
