Q: I thought red was the color of "love". Why do most sources say pink is?
Pink is cited by most sources for love spells since it is a combination of red and white, red signifying passion and white signifying purity. Pink is used for self-love (self esteem), since all love must start from within the lover. If you are already in a relationship, red will fire up the passions. Set a table with red roses and white candles for balance, then pour the red wine!

I could see how pink might be a considered for love, I have a mentor, and she says red is the best color to use to find your soulmate or lover.I also take a online wicca course, and they say that red is for love also, and I have red some books that say red is for love also so I think that it would be up to the indivual, as for the person who said that most say pink instead of red i think if they study a little more they will find their are an equal amount of books,and resources that say you can use red for love too.
