Hold it!
If possible, always hold a stone before deciding upon purchase! There are some good books on what crystals and stones are preported to do what, but on the other hand, donīt be frightened away from a stone because some book says "bad luck", example, opals or pearls. Touching the stone to read it before you get it will tell you if the stone is right for you!
